About the Speaker

Jennifer Jessie, No Blue CreativeWhen Jennifer Jessie (@nobluecreative) was 25 years old, she hit the self-destruction button on her life. She graduated from UVA Law and decided not to be a practicing attorney. Jennifer created a TV blog while studying for the VA bar. Less than one year later, thousands of people were visiting her site. She formed relationships and influencer partnerships with ABC, ABC Family, NBC, HBO, Showtime, etc. She worked on influencer campaigns with many PR companies representing major networks who saw her blog as an opportunity to promote their clients to her vast audience.

As a result of a redesign error by a web designer, her blog lost all of its traffic. She had to rebuild. Jennifer taught herself search engine optimization (SEO), web design, content & social media marketing to make her blog successful once again. Within a few months, she had first page rankings on Google, an active Twitter presence mentioned on Entertainment Weekly's and Huffington Post's TV Blogger Lists, as well as invites to the Emmys, the Official Emmy After Party, and SDCC Comic Con.

In 2011 Jennifer founded No Blue Creative, where she started implementing the same strategies she used for her blog for other businesses. She works as a social media and content strategist and serves as a strategic partner, consultant, and trainer.

Recently, she conducted a study of 200 Facebook pages to determine which pages were using Facebook to its actual and full potential. After countless hours she came to one conclusion: no one, not even the kings and queens of social media, is using Facebook in a way to maximize organic reach. She now teaches business owners to identify missed opportunities so that their content, and their business, can get where it needs to go and create profitable opportunities.
