Central Virginia Marketers Sweep Annual Marketing Awards

Some of the region’s best known marketers and promising newcomers earned top honors at Tuesday’s annual Excellence in Marketing Awards (EMMAs), held at the Old Metropolitan in downtown Charlottesville.

The EMMAs are the premier event of the Central Virginia American Marketing Association which includes marketers from Charlottesville, the Shenandoah Valley, Lynchburg, Roanoke and Blacksburg. The event gives the marketing community the opportunity to show off their very best work.

In the new Experiential Graphic Design category—which looks at how visual communications shape and transform our experience of space, events and brands—VMDO Architects won for their designs in Buckingham County schools.

“We received many impressive entries this year, and it was tough for the judges to find only one winner in each category,” says CVAAMA president Larry Miles. “The Central Virginia area has many talented marketers.”
